I'll admit to a bit of voter ignorance in saying that when I saw the ballot, and saw I could choose between Pastor Curry and some other dude, I decided on "some other dude" versus Curry. Silly me in finding that the "other dude" wasn't even running anymore....but still, when face...

Sorry to be naive, but why WOULDN'T the CC order a full EIR, if the downside is the city getting caught with its pants down and being liable to cost overruns and lawsuits? Sorry, CityBiz...can you elaborate? I'm not able to watch CC meetings at home, so I'm not as up to speed with regard to this as I'd like to be. What are the differences between the two and impacts of either?
Do you have an opinion on what the City should do?

Not sure, but I recall they're pretty restricted - 10am-ish to not that late in the afternoon. I was in there a few weeks ago to check out the plans for the gym, and it doesn't look half bad. The equipment they'll have is all brand new, but not top-of-the-line stuff... Only 2 of the type of elliptic...

I agree with the last two posts. Four of the five came across as nice, intelligent, caring folks. Problem is, I don't necessarily see "nice" as a virtue in selecting leaders. I would trust Maguire (who I'm not saying isn't nice) not to make waves just for the heck of it, but not bend over ...

Wal-Mart plans for California
Wal-Mart announced in 2002 that they wanted to build 40 new Supercenters (specifically supercenters) in California over the following 4 to 6 years. Well, since Paul started this thread, I suppose it would be poor form to nominate the Card Room ( )... So I'll go with: #2. The PG&E substation on the NW corner of AmCyn Rd and 29. This is the obvious choice, as far as I'm concerned. I realize they're busy working on it, making it better,...

Nah, doanworryboutit. That's actually what I expect when I see the word "taqueria". In fact, one could argue that by virtue of their using throw pillows in their decorating, Taqueria Rosita officially loses their "taqueria" standing. More like a cantina anyway. So sounds like: yo...
