SUBJECT: Extention of Deadline and Availability of applications for the General Plan Advisory Committee.

The City of American Canyon is extending the application deadline for the General Plan Advisory Committee to Thursday, June 30, 2005. Applications are available on the City’s website, http://www.ci.american-canyon.ca.us , and at City Hall, 300 Crawford Way,

The General Plan Advisory Committee will include at least two meetings per month that will be open to the public. Along with residents, the Council suggested representation from the school district, the Chamber of Commerce, the Airport Commission, Napa Valley College, open space advocates, former members of the original General Plan Committee and representatives from local organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to determine what residents and other designated participants want for the City of American Canyon.

For more information, contact the Planning Department at 647-4336 or the City Clerk’s Office at 647-4352. Applications submitted to other City offices or after 5:00 p.m. on June 30th will not be accepted.

Hope to see all of you apply, I know some of you have. But we need more applications. There will probably be at least one meeting in the evening a month possibly more as it becomes more detailed.
