I was unaware of this meeting until I got home tonight and read this article.

AMERICAN CANYON - The City Council will consider the following items during a specially scheduled meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Canyon Oaks Elementary School, 475 Silver Oaks Trail:

• A public hearing on a resolution of necessity and order of immediate possession for the acquisition of right-of-way by eminent domain to facilitate the widening of American Canyon Road.

My questions???

Why is it being held at Canyon Oaks where we do not have live coverage on Channel 28?

Who's property is this?

Immediate possession?

Wasn't this something that the City knew when they decided to widen AC Road?

Why then is it such an emergency tonight? Could it be that the owner of the property didn't want to sell?

Eminent Domaine...a very dangerous proposition.

Homeowners, beware... take my house for the betterment of this community? I don't think so...

But could it happen to you? Time will tell!

remember during the election. I told people that ed west & leon garcia are for eminent domain. Nobody would listen. They will cry after their property is gone.
